Won't matter if you own a PS 3. Region free Blu-Ray player.
Really? I've never heard that and I've had a PS3 for nine years now. Unfortunately, any UK Blu-rays I have are region free so I can't test that out. I do know that my PS3 can't play non-region 1 DVDs (but I have another DVD player that does) so I'd be surprised if it could do non-Region A Blu-rays. Or does it need to be hacked?
Dumb question, if you play British blu-ray's in a North American Blu-ray player, do they still run a bit fast as they do in British players ?
No it should not. The whole previous PAL/NTSC does not affect bluray since it supports true progressive film rates at the actual film speed it was shot and because of that you no longer have a pal or ntsc format
However on some occasions a Blu may have a pal frame rate or the disc at a universal film rate but with pal extras, etc
But for the most part unless they lock it to region B ( and if you don't have an all region Blu player), you will be fine in viewing whatever with proper sound

I do not have a Blu-ray player because I couldn't be arse to buy Jaws again (although, I did buy it twice on DVD. So much for being penny wise) I also don't have a 2001 monolith HDTV and I doubt I cloud fit such a thing in my teeny apartment (well, maybe). So the Blu-ray aspect isn't all that exciting to me.
However, I am interested in the show. One of my favorite movies is Moon Zero Two and TV Tropes listed UFO as a spiritual successor (along with Space: 1999 which I used to watch as a kid but couldn't tell you anything about it today. Give me a break, it's been thirty-five years). The intro looks fascinating as well as the late 60's/early 70's style. I wish more movies and TV shows were like this today.
