        Hands down Deathlok, especially when you consider that he was going to Marvel's adaptation of the Cyborg novel.

                              Hard to choose, but I can pinpoint where I learned the word, and it's not on the list. It was Marvel's Star Wars Issue 16, with Valance the Hunter. Carmine Infantino's art of his flesh melting off his robotic face made an indelible impression on me as a child.
