    Into the Bad Lands?

Anybody a fan of this? It really looked like something I would enjoy but I kinda tapped out recently. AMC has been pushing it so hard, I'm kind of surprised how little talk there is about it.

Can't put my finger on why it didn't click for me, I don't mind a little fantasy mingled into my SF. It really seems to be gunning for a live action anime feel but it's coming off as a weird 80s film to me.

    Thoughts?

I've been watching it. The Baron Quinn is my favorite as is Sunny. I really don't care for the kid(Sunny's Colt) too much but visually I like what I'm seeing.

I'm having a little difficult time knowing where the story is supposed to going right now, but I have enjoyed watching it so far.

To me, that "weird 80s film" quality is its biggest appeal. It is definitely unlike any other show on tv. It is visually unique, and the martial arts is well choreographed.

But the characters lack depth, and not really feeling any investment in what happens to any of them. I am hoping it finds its groove soon... right now, it is feeling like all style and no substance.

Yeah I can see that being an appeal for many, that's the vibe i get. If I saw this back then, it would have been my favourite thing ever.

That's kind of how i felt too, I will attest that I drop a lot of shows by the second episode though...

It just didn't grab me. I felt like it just borrows all sorts of things from prior works. It has a been there done that feel to it. Plus, while the action was solid, it wasn't groundbreaking. I gave up after 1 and a half episodes.

I've been watching the show and it's okay but not great for me.

I am watching but at this point I could take it or leave it. I doubt it will make it to a second season. I like the fight choreography and the widow is rather nice to look at but other than that the show does not have a lot going for it

20 years ago I would have been all over something like this, but now, based on what I've seen so far, and the poor reviews that I've read, I've been kind of hesitant to give it a try. Maybe when I run out of other stuff to watch...
