I hope they do it justice, with enough update on the tech but still keeping the original spirit. I liked the movie with Hurt and Oldman in it. I always thought it was really well done and should have done better than it did a the box officeComment

I'm looking forward to Netflix doing a rebooted version of LIS. I just hope the people behind it realize that the main watchers of this will likely be the people who were watching it as kids and who've had their own kids watching it, as well. I'm sure it will have all the necessary updates to make it more "current," but I do hope they keep the JUPITER 2 design similar to what it was in the series (didn't care much for the one from the movie once it lost it's exoskeleton) and I'd like to see the B9 remain pretty close to what it was, as well.sigpic Oh then, what's this? Big flashy lighty thing, that's what brought me here! Big flashy lighty things have got me written all over them. Not actually. But give me time. And a crayon.Comment

I prefer Titanic over the Lost in Space flick.
Also...it featured the worst CGI character in the history of cinema...
Jar Jar Binks is practically Citizen Kane compared to that horrid space chimp...
Having said that...I ADORE the original TV show...and welcome a Netflix remake with open arms...sigpicComment

okay, i'll give you that one Hector. the space chimp was dumb. but the space spiders were really coolComment

Rumor has it this series will be very gritty and take place in an alien version of Hell's KitchenComment

The Netflix streaming just plays better for me.
_____
That 1998 version of Lost in Space, had a space ship like Return of the Jedi's B-wing fighter. My guess is that the new one won't use that design.Comment

Gary Oldman was solid too.
I also kinda like B-9, specifically at the beginning. Don't like him much after it phased into the so called more familiar look though, sort of lame...

I am in the same camp regarding TITANIC, Hector. I think the only reason LIS knocked it out of the top spot was because everyone had probably already seen TITANIC at least three times (I saw it four time theatrically) and LIS was some fresh sci-fi blood and peoples sense of nostalgia kicked in. It's just a shame that the movie wasn't better. And, yeah, between that CG critter (I think they called it "Blarp") and the incessant whining of both Penny and Will Robinson, I'd have to give that particular LIS reboot maybe 2 stars because....
....yeah, the space spiders were cool and Gary Oldman put in a nice performance as Doctor Smith.
LOL!!!
Heather Graham was hot, but mostly a wasted performance. Matt LeBlanc was okay. Hated Willian Hurt. Mimi Rodgers, hot, but like Graham...nothing to do. The ship was cool.
Space Spiders, menacing as previously stated...but that was the lone alien presence (unless you count that stupid monkey)...not nearly enough.
The adult Will Robinson should've been played by Bill Mumy, what a wasted opportunity.
Gary Oldman was the lone highlight of the movie.
I was one of those contributing to unseating Titanic...as I checked out Lost in Space on its opening weekend...couldn't wait to see it...as the original Lost in Space was my all time favorite show as a kid...I was sooooooooo bummed out and disappointed at this movie...sort of mad in fact...what a downer...sigpicComment
