That looks pretty good...and True Blood's Eric looks good as Tarzan.

A friend just made my head explode with one simple question.... Why doesn't Tarzan ever have a beard?

Well my first thought was he shaved with his knife. I looked it up and as it turns out, I was right. According to Burroughs, Tarzan shaved with his knife to preserve some sense of humanity (and separation) from the gorillas after seeing men in books and noticing tribesman never had facial hair.

Tarzan's going to be fine. It's just taken the film industry a century to develop effects that can catch up with ERB's imagination. I also think the public doesn't know the character as well as we assume: last night, I was reading a really long thread on the official Legend of Tarzan FB page, and the guy who started it kept pushing that Tarzan was an American that hated black people. That's like saying Batman's from Metropolis and likes to commit crimes and leave riddles behind.
