    Cheers M

I think you and Bo8a Fett should get together and write a book.
    Or have a beer...long distance...(it certainly is)

I think the Cushing movies were made by a seperate company other than BBC, so BBC don't like recognize them.
They were made by a company called AARU Productions and both filmed at Shepperton Studio's and the McGann movie was done by Universal TV i think.

        Thanks R.
I just ordered them from Play.com for £4.99 on a Double Disc DVD.

After I saw Bernard Cribbins Episode the other day I thought I'd give them a try.

As a very big Classic Who fan, i'm not a afraid to admit I LOVE the Cushing movies.

Too many Classic fans dismiss them as kids movies...... and perhaps they are, but they're damn fun to watch

            They're Doctor Who Lite

I too love the Cushion movies..
To answer you questions Monkey Tennis...
Peter Cushion is not considered a "canon" Doctor purely and simply because the 2 films were based on William Hartnell stories and therefore he is just replaying the part of the First Doctor ( incidently there were plans for a 3rd film based on the Hartnell story "The Chase").
Trevor Martin (played a Time Lord in War Games) also played the Doctor in a stage play called "Doctor Who and the Daleks in the Seven Keys to Doomsday" where the part was to be taken by Jon pertwee...so again (although he was considered to be an alternate 4th Doctor) it was an existing Doctor and not another regeneration, Wendy Padbury played a companion that was "chosen" from the audience. The Ultimate adventure was also a stage show with Jon pertwee and Colin Baker playing the Doctor ...David Banks (Cyberleader or cyberman from earthshock onwards) played the Doctor when Pertwee was ill so again cannot be considered as a "Doctor".
Paul McGann IS considered to be a "canon" Doctor as the TV movie was part commisioned and paid for by the BBC and had McGann regenerating from McCoy (it is rumoured that McGann's Doctor will be turning up in one or two of the specials to be filmed during the "rest between seasons").
So all in all we have, if Hartnell is the First Doctor...
                William Hartnell
                Patrick Troughton
                Jon Pertwee
                Tom Baker
                Peter Davison
                Colin Baker
                Sylvester McCoy
                Paul McGann
                Christopher Eccleston
                David Tennant...
... there is of course "The Watcher", the faces seen on the "mind bending" contest in "Brain of Morbius"and "THe Valeyard" which are all or could be versions of the Doctor...

                ....hope that clears things up...

I still think the Morbius strange faces were Morbius' past regenerations.

                    The Valeyard ...... That's a tough one...
Is he the 14th-? Doctor ... or just pure evil ... ?

I threw those in just to mix it up a bit...The Valeyard allegedly is no more as this future incarnation dissapeared after the Doctor defeats his plan (remember most of this story ...Trial of a Time Lord is set inside the Matrix),
The faces on "Morbius" were various production personel and used elemenmts from the previously mentioned Seven Keys to Doomsday...
