Not me...I loved every minute of it. Still do. There is no "original" trilogy and "prequel" trilogy. There are six Star Wars films and I love them all.

Without seeing Luke Skywalker, I can only get so excited for this. I disliked the new trilogy and cherish the original ones. This is nostalgia for me so if Luke has a cameo I'll likely walk away dejected. If he has a major role, I'll be geeking out bigtime.

Same here. I feel so lucky to have grown up in the Lucas age. And Phantom Menace is my favorite of the Prequels.

You'll probably go away disappointed if you are expecting a big role for Luke. Rumor has it that this is more Han's movie than Leia's or Luke's. Expect Luke to dominate Ep. 8 and Ep. 9, though.

Too many SW fans tend to fall into extremes from the Lucas ruined my childhood nutters to the apologists who defend every nonsensical change to the original trilogy with an evangelical fury.

I, personally, tend to be indifferent to the prequel movies. I don't love them, by any stretch, but don't actually hate them either. I own them on DVD and Blu-Ray but I do find them a bit hard to sit through and fast forward a lot. When I do watch them, I watch the DVD theatrical cuts. The high points of the prequels, for me, are the soundtracks and Ewan McGregor's Obi Wan.

Along with the theatrical cuts of the original trilogy, I do really like the Clone Wars and Rebels series.
You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...

I heard this as well. I assume we'll see Luke, but it might be towards the end of the movie setting up the next film

For me, the classic trilogy were action movies with sci fi framing the action.

The prequels were bloated plot devices sprinkled with some sci fi and action.

Basically imo, the prequels tried too hard (in a way they were Star Trek The Motion Picture)

the prequels had a lot of flaws but they also each had their good moments. I don't hate them. I just prefer the original trilogy and the characters that dominate those movies

Thing is, I look at the other films that came out from 1999-2005 (the Prequel years), and I can think of no other movies that entertained me with such gusto and bravado. I remember smiling goofily through each one.
