She is married to writer and filmmaker Phil Hwang; their first child, Jonah, was born on September 5, 2002. Since the birth of her son, Lien has retired from acting and voiceover work; however, she was credited as executive producer on her husband's comedy 2008 film Geek Mythology.
Following the completion of her studies, she intends to work as a nutritionist.
In April of 2015, Lien was arrested in Harriman, Tennessee and charged with evading arrest, resisting arrest, reckless endangerment and aggravated assault.
In September 2015, Lien was arrested for having an active warrant in Roane County, TN and on two counts of exposing herself to a child under the age of 13. Contrary to a possible tone of the headlines, Lien went on a bizarre and irrational rant and in the process exposed herself in front of several people, including children, and did not expose herself TO the children specifically or make any advances towards anyone. The arrest was for indecent exposure.sigpic -
