Star Wars Force Awakens movie poster revealed.
You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...Tags: None -

It is kinda underwhelming and personally cringe when I see the painfully overused orange and teal color scheme. You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. I feel that a lot of modern movie posters (even well-drawn artwork posters) are kind of "puzzled together", without a sense of structure and style.
It's like convention posters: they throw together a bunch of characters, and that's it. No cohension, no style.
Remember Empire's record album sleeve? Just Vader and a starry background. That was a strong image. Didn't need anything more to get people excited about seeing the movie.
I would have had Luke, Han and Leia filling the background (in large images, from the waist up), and the new characters in the foreground (smaller images, full figures). It would show both "generations"..

The sad part is, whatever the final poster is, that will be IT. It will be used in every country across the board. Not like in the old days when there were multiple posters by multiple artists and you got to see how different countries advertised the film.
All they'll change is the language of the text. Boring.
Love Drew Struzan, but I miss Amsel and Bob Peak. Hey, here's an idea... I bet Roger Kastel would work for cheap! Why did they never go back to him after his amazing Empire poster? And he created THE most iconic poster of all with Jaws.Comment

If I had only spent a tenth of the time studying Physics that I spent learning Star Wars and Baseball trivia, I would have won the Nobel Prize.Comment
