They have one serial per season. But still that's pretty good for first time viewers. Although I recommend you don't watch "the Androids of Tara" considering its regarded as the worst Tom Baker episode. "The ark in Space" was excellent however.

Well for once, I totally agree with Mike on something Who related. I don't mind Tara, certainly at my bottom rung but worst? I'm thinking E-Space.

I think the only story from season 18 I can sit through would be State of Decay ... Mostly because it has an earlier Tom Baker era feel ...

Because it is, it was written in 1977 and put on hold because BBC was doing Dracula at the same time.

So if it was written in '77 it probably would have been a Lela story.

That would have been way more interesting.

Not saying I don't like Lala, but she really doesn't have much personality and just stands around looking pretty most of the time.

When I was a young boy I thought Lala was not only the better Romana, she was also the prettier one too.

As an adult, I think I was totally wrong, not only is Tamm the better Romana to me, she's also one of the most beautiful women to ever be on the show.

I'm still absolutely astonished that we live in a world where Classic Doctor Who is offered as a viewing choice on airplanes now. My wife recently mentioned to me she watched the first Tom Baker episodes with the Giant Robot on the flight home from Tokyo (it took a long time before she was even willing to watch the new incarnation of the show).

Also that the popularity of Doctor Who merchandise has spilled over onto the Classic show as well. I was in Hot Topic yesterday specifically for Doctor Who Pop Vinyls and they still had 10 and 11, but told me Tom Baker had sold out. I managed to get the last Capaldi.
