Looks like Season Nine may be traversing a darker path than Season Eight did. I'm really hoping they return more of their focus to The Doctor and his motivations/intentions and we get less of the Clara/Danny love story. I liked Danny Pink fine, but a little of him went a long way and, IMHO, the way the writers had him acting, his character felt like more of a wet blanket than anything else. I liked the shades on The Doctor---perhaps those should become Twelve's trademark item, much like Ten had his pin-stripe suit and sneakers and Eleven had his bow tie and fez.

From what I hear, it's just straight forward adventures this season, mostly two parters. The Doctor is more or less a changed man from last season. I started liking Danny at first but by the end, I wasn't sad he was gone.

Can't wait. Despite getting bogged down in the Clara/Danny quagmire, I liked Capaldi. My son wasn't sold, but he's a Matt Smith devotee through and through.

I'm looking forward to it. It was a tough transition for me to Capaldi. I like the line at the end that seemed to be missing from last season, "I'm The Doctor, and I save people!" That attitude wasn't there last season. I really hope they try to find out about why this face seemed familiar to him and where Galifrey went.

She's either Susan, or Jenny regenerated.

And it's high time they found Gallifrey, they teased it all last year, and it got tiresome after a while.
