^I love these comics. We covered two of the issues on Super Mates. They feel more like Trek than any comic before. The photos help, but Byrne nails the character voices, and the TOS philosophy.

I've seen these on line, maybe I'll have to pick them up. It looks pretty good but I wish Byrne was just a little better at Photoshop and could make things look seamless. However, these are leaps and bounds better than the preliminary pages I saw on Byrnes website.

^There are some hiccups here and there, and he sometimes goes beyond his skill level when creating new things, but the fact that he can pull the right photo/screen grabs from episodes to fit a scene is nuts.

I can't believe that he is able to get these out as fast as he does. That's a lot of footage to go through.

I sometimes feel they are a bit out of character with dialogue, but that may just be me being subjective. I like getting and reading these. I love the style and feel that captures the old photo novels. It is more than photos with word bubbles.
          It's all good!

I really, really, really wish they would give the Star Trek novels this treatment.
The stories are already written just add the artwork.
Granted a lot of them are crap there is a good selection that are really well written and grab the flavour of the TV series.
