You are right. Obi Wan is the real hero and action star of those movies.
I am more than machine. More than man. More than a fusion of the two.

I don't think there is anyone at Disney who could do that. Its about $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ and nothing more.

I disagree, there are plenty of good Writers and Directors in the World...and they don't have to be in house at Disney. They can hire anyone. J.J. Abrams was working for Paramount when they signed him.

          hahahahaha!

          I'm up for a Obi-Wan Kenobi Quintet.

One film could be when Obi-Wan really learns what scum and villainy live in ME Spaceport. Find out who calls him Ben first.

In later films, they will need to apply more 'old man' makeup. (or wait 20 years to make the finale ANH tie-in movie)

Sorry but Nerd King JJ Abrams is not the savior of Star Wars Movies. It is of a time and place that cannot ever be duplicated or repeated. Will it be better than the three horrible prequels? Sure but thats not saying much. If you watch the new SW-7 Trailer you will see by the second, a perfect orchestrated plan by Disney to capture multiple generations to see this Movie- New PC Correct Guy in storm trooper suit- Bowling ball R2 for Kids, new young female character for young girls, Prequel like darth Maul character-for those that like Darth Maul and then Classic characters and themes to lure in the lovers of the original trilogy. I personally hated Abrams Trek Movies and his incomprehensible Stories. Cartoon looking CGI filled gobbly gook with all new back stories for the classic characters like Spock and Uhura?-PC- Correct BS.

Never said J.J. was the savior of Star Wars...simply that Disney doesn't have to use "in house" Directors & Writers. As for the PC Storm Trooper, I'm betting he's not a Storm Trooper at all, but one of the good guys in disguise.

P.S. Absolutely LOVED J.J.'s STAR TREK re-boot!! So, I don't think you and I are going to agree on anything...best to avoid talking to each other.

It's not a war here on a movie opinion, it's a Simple we disagree. I don't like anything Abrams has done (I.E.-great example see Lost). Thanks on the info from the movie but I already know through some connections at the Mouse the complete back story on the SW-7 and know the PC guy isn't a Stormtrooper. Its actually worse.

I'm as skeptical as anybody else about this movie and I'm not particularly excited about this movie AT ALL. I'm just going set back and take a wait and see attitude.

I'm much more interested in a young Han Solo movie. Or an Obi-Wan movie(that takes place between the 18 year span of Episode 3 and 4).

Ewan McGregor says he's up for it! Like somebody else said in this thread...Ewan was the BEST thing about the "Prequels."
