Sounds interesting, particularly that the story is inspired by the pivotal events of "Genesis".

I love Davros in "Genesis" but not so much after that. I hope the new story turns out well.

That's good because everybody hates Davros, he's pure evil!

I agree--I remember being afraid when I first saw him in "Genesis" (age 6) but finding him just repetitive after that.

Genesis was huge for me as a kid. I'm not sure this sounds all that different though. I'll hope for the best.

I'd have a different opinion of him had he not appeared in every-fricking-Dalek-story after that, there diminishing quality probably doesn't help either. The only post Genesis Dalek story I even like is "Remembrance" and Davros is regulated to a cameo, hmmmmmmm.

I enjoyed Resurection, but I have a soft spot for Davidson. I have to admit to not seeing the new episodes with him and Donna. Somehow I missed most of her season and I'm slow to catch up.

I can live with Davros but I don't love him.

His good point is he inspired the Dalek vs Dalek wars of the 80's.

Not the best of the Dalek stories, but something more for the Daleks to do rather than attack Earth every few years.

His bad point is to me his character is just too unbelievable on many levels.

One, I never liked the Daleks being "created" in one generation.

Before Genesis I was lead to believe the Daleks were created by themselves over years, decades, centuries, millennia --- like the more believable Classic Series Cybermen.

Of course i'll give it a chance but I don't expect too much --- We already know Doctor Who can't change that kind of history ---

We'll see if my Genesis of the Daleks DVD magically disappears after it's aired
