Leaked information on what we'll see in the upcoming Star Wars teaser #2

Makingstarwars.net is a pretty good place to read about new Ep. 7 information. They have a report from someone who allegedly saw the new Star Wars teaser that supposedly will be released next week at 2015 Star Wars Celebration at Anaheim. http://makingstarwars.net/2015/04/wh...wakens-teaser/

The teaser runs at about a one minute and fifty seconds, just under two minutes.

    Han, Leia, Artoo and Threepio

We do see Yavin in the teaser.

We see a shot of Finn with a blue lightsaber.

There is a shot of Captain Phasma (Gwendoline Christie), the chrome Stormtrooper, very briefly.

We do see Kylo Ren’s helmeted face.

We see Poe Dameron shoot down a TIE fighter.

A shot of Finn and Poe walking past one another at the base.

Rey is in a few shots.

There is a shot of Poe Dameron, Artoo-Detoo, See-Threepio, and a CGI character (Rose).

BB-8 socketed in the back of an X-wing.

Kylo Ren’s Imperial shuttle flys by with TIE escorts to the Star Destroyer (it is the one
    MakingStarWars.net wrote about)

    Star Destroyer(s)

    The Falcon

    X-wing fighters flying in a V-shape formation.

Darth Vader’s helmet sitting on a podium.

    no Serkis.

    No Luke.

I just have this feeling (especially after seeing Hamill give the performance he gave in the Flash) that his character of Luke WILL fall to the dark side. I think the writing is on the wall.

Word on the street is that Luke shows up at the very end of the movie- like the last few minutes. Apparently he's in self-imposed exile, the way Yoda was on Dagobah. It is assumed that Luke essentially takes on the same type of role Yoda had in the OT for the remainder of the trilogy. This is much more Han's movie than it is Luke's or Leia's.

I have to disagree. I believe that Skywalker is about as far away from the Dark Side as is humanly possible. I'd absolutely hate that scenario, seeing my childhood hero embrace evil.
If they do make him turn bad, I'll look up Abrams' phone number and put Liam Neeson's Taken speech on it...

Does Darth Vader’s helmet have fire damage?
Did they take it from the pyre on Endor.

If Luke turns to the Dark Side, then this whole thing becomes meaningless.
As it is, some of Yoda's teachings are meaningless after learning about the events of his past.

one of the earlier rumors I recall hearing about the plot for the movie was that Luke has been missing for 30 years and they go on a quest to find him

Did the battery in his cell phone die or something?
              Not even a postcard?
Sounds like a pretty lame rumor.
I think I'm going to go into exile until the movie actually comes out...

It would have messed me up knowing my dad was the worse kind of villain, and had tried to kill me and my friends, and had taken down the jedi order. Plus finding out Ben had lied to him, yoda was dead and his girlfriend had turned out being his sister???

Yeah exile sounds pretty good and I wouldn't have a problem with him playing for the other team.

Oh Vader had to have multiple helmets I'm sure.

I read he went into exile because he realizes he is the most powerful force user and doesn't want to get turned to the dark side. To prevent any influence, he basically self-exiles himself. The events of Ep. 7 force his hand and makes him intervene. I can live with that.

Well, at the end of Jedi he was the only Force user, right?
I just think he went into exile until George Lucas retired...

You nailed it. There's enough back story there to place doubt in Luke. Add to that he made a brief bond with his father and has all of peace time to ponder this? Yeah, he's susceptible. And now we have a director who is not afraid to go there if he needs to. There's no story there if a primary character like Luke with his family history can not fall, or least appear to be weak enough to fall to the dark side. Perhaps they could write that in as a twist and at the end he fights off the dark side and ends the cycle in his family? That would be interesting too. But to just serve him up as just the next pseudo-Obi-Wan would be predictable Lucas-like. At some point, he has to become a primary player for the dark side, whether he crosses or not.

Acrovader, how do you know all these characters when the movie isn't even out yet?

Besides Han, Luke and Leia, I've never heard of any of these guys.

From around the web. Fan sites. www.makingstarwars.net is really the best to get the best spoilers, since the guy has been pretty accurate, plus he's seen tons of concept are, plus- someone slipped him copies of the movie's call sheets. Another good site is found here: http://boards.theforce.net/forums/st...allowed.10864/

I'm not wanting to see the whole Jedi robes, mystic hermit type of thing again, we've been there done that. Hey if Luke ends up being twisted and distorted due to the actions of the previous movies and his father, I'm all for it. Let's be honest, the best parts of Star Wars wasn't the heroes, it's the villains and the dark side!

I agree. The story is at it's best when the heroes are fallible. If everything always ends well, what's the point? That's the part that makes Darth Vader so endlessly fascinating. His fall from grace and ultimate redemption. If Luke is susceptible, he should always be a target. It's not of his own choosing to change what is inherently within him to be. The story should certainly explore his ability to fight back that compulsion while they build this next generation of characters.
