FANTASY author Sir Terry Pratchett has died at the age of 66, after suffering with early-onset Alzheimer's disease.

Although I didn't follow Sir Pratchett (sorry, I'm Canadian, gotta be formal) too closely with any sense of fandom I did read quite a few of his books. He will be missed.

what a shame. far too young at 66. I never read his books but was definitely familiar with the name and series, just never got around to reading them. will have to give them a read now. RIP!

Such a gifted writer, very funny and clever, his mind devastated by Alzheimer. What a waste...
