I know that this film doesn't get a lot of love from Bond fans (and it is VERY different from the novel) but I've always had a soft spot for the film (maybe because it was the only Moore 007 film I saw in theatres as a kid). I've been introducing my son to Bond films and we watched this one a couple weekends ago. He thought it was great, it is a fun film that doesn't take itself seriously, I think you need to approach the film on that level.

They had these at the James Bond exhibit at the TIFF Lightbox this past year. Amazed at how huge their Moonraker display was. It was pretty cool.

Moonraker was the first Bond film I saw at the theatre. Loved that laser battle sequence.

I have always considered this film a guilty pleasure, love Bond movies and although this one is cheesy as hell, it is also a lot of fun

I'm a pretty big classic James Bond fan (pre Pierce Brosnan)

I have a kind of love-hate thing going with Moonraker.

The love part of me loves the fun of it all --- even having Jaws turn good as a bonus.

The hate part of me makes me makes me grit my teeth when I see all the fake 1979 era technology.

Yes, the suspension of disbelief was kinda high in other classic Bond movies such as Diamonds are Forever, but I think Moonraker took it to a new level.

Like Bruce Banner, it was the first Bond movie I saw in the theater. Though, not my favorite, I do have a soft spot for it. Plus it was the era of Star Wars, anything with outer space and lasers was a go for me.

*sigh* I've been drooling over this thing all afternoon. Honestly, if I wasn't saving for my Japan trip in a couple weeks, I would have thrown down for this. Bad timing as usual!

Dude, I had the exact same dilemma with a Battle of the Planets piece this seller listed as well. Of course I pulled the trigger on it (and it's being shipped to your office).

Seems like as soon as I get a little money sent to my paypal account, it goes right back out again!
