I know that this film doesn't get a lot of love from Bond fans (and it is VERY different from the novel) but I've always had a soft spot for the film (maybe because it was the only Moore 007 film I saw in theatres as a kid). I've been introducing my son to Bond films and we watched this one a couple weekends ago. He thought it was great, it is a fun film that doesn't take itself seriously, I think you need to approach the film on that level. -
Those are dressed up Action Man dolls.

Moonraker was the first Bond film I saw at the theatre. Loved that laser battle sequence.PUNY HUMANS!Comment

I have always considered this film a guilty pleasure, love Bond movies and although this one is cheesy as hell, it is also a lot of funComment

I'm a pretty big classic James Bond fan (pre Pierce Brosnan)
I have a kind of love-hate thing going with Moonraker.
The love part of me loves the fun of it all --- even having Jaws turn good as a bonus.
The hate part of me makes me makes me grit my teeth when I see all the fake 1979 era technology.
Yes, the suspension of disbelief was kinda high in other classic Bond movies such as Diamonds are Forever, but I think Moonraker took it to a new level.Comment

Like Bruce Banner, it was the first Bond movie I saw in the theater. Though, not my favorite, I do have a soft spot for it. Plus it was the era of Star Wars, anything with outer space and lasers was a go for me.Comment
