    The new Thunderbirds are..NO...just no.

They've been given a boy band make over.

The first images of the upcoming TV reboot of the iconic series Thunderbirds have been released, recasting the iconic puppets from the 1960s original 'super-marionation' series as buff animated heroes.

Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...

I'm open-minded about this---can't possibly be worse than James Bond, Jr.
WANTED: Dick Grayson SI trousers; gray AJ Mustang horse; vintage RC Batman (Bruce Wayne) head; minty Wolfman tights; mint Black Knight sword; minty Launcelot boots; Lion Rock (pale) Dracula & Mummy heads; Lion Rock Franky squared boots; Wayne Foundation blue furniture; Flash Gordon/Ming (10") unbroken holsters; CHiPs gloved arms; POTA T2 tan body; CTVT/vintage Friar Tuck robes, BBP TZ Burgess Meredith glasses.

I don't think they look that bad. At least they have some resemblance to the original version.

I didn't think the terrible live action movie could be topped. I've been proven wrong. After seeing the Tracys turned into a boy band I don't even want to know want they did to Lady Penelope.

Makes me worry for the new Danger Mouse too.

The cgi business vs. using puppets bums me out more than the look.

Think they should have kept to the actual look of the puppets, even for cgi. They are so iconic.

I agree. Except that if they did that then the producers couldn't put "their stamp" on it. I still think they don't look bad but it does seem like change just for the sake of it. At least the Thunderbirds themselves haven't been drastically altered. Rosamund Pike is a great choice for the voice of Lady Penelope. I am curious to see the new series. I had less than no interest in the live action movie.

It's coming sometime this year to CBBC.

Pointless host Alexander Armstrong will voice Danger Mouse when the much-loved cartoon hero returns to TV next year.

Can't be any worse than the late 80's American travesty of adding classic T-Bird clips with newly filmed Saturday morning pablum.

                            Seriously?
"Do you believe, you believe in magic?
'Cos I believe, I believe that I do,
Yes, I can see I believe that it's magic
If your mission is magic your love will shine true."
