Legend is a neat movie with great visual effects but overall does not work as well as it should have. the elves never worked for me and there was really not enough action but it is a movie I enjoy watching now and again

Dragonslayer was also a great movie for its day, visual effects for the dragon were really good, but again I thought, even as a kid, it was way to slow moving

Yeah, Legend was very hit and miss for me. Tim Curry is exceptional as Darkness, and that make up & prosthetic is amazing!
      Similarly, Meg Mucklebones is great.

But the rest of the picture just didn't really work, IMHO.

And I much prefer the version with the Jerry Goldsmith score.
