Snowpiercer

I really enjoyed Snowpiercer. Sure it's a schlocky SciFi flick and won't be mentioned in the same breath as Gone Girl or the other "Top Movies of 2014" by film critics. But this movie had my interest 100% of the time. I was engrossed as they progressed from car to car. I took no potty breaks, I didn't grab my tablet and check Facebook, etc. I can't say that of every movie I saw in 2014.

To me, the odd mix of serious and funny didn't sit well. One moment it's a slaughter, then Tilda Swinton is doing her weird OTT comedy routine, then the lead tell us he used to eat a baby or two.

You know what I hate about myself? Knowing that babies taste best!

I also caught it on Netflix a couple weeks ago.. watchable flick, had its moments. 3 of 5 stars.
