The Black Hole in HD

Just watched The Black Hole in HD on Showtime Beyond.

Not 100% sure it was in HD but the guide said it was.

To me it did look a lot nicer than the standard DVD version.

Note: some/many actresses are unflattering in HD on close-ups, to the contrary Yvette Mimieux is extra gorgeous.

SFX look so good it almost looks modern computer generated.

Anybody else catch this ?

I haven't seen this yet. But I had heard there was a gorgeous HD transfer already finished. The Black Hole DVD transfers are really showing their age. A Blu ray release is long overdue.

Sounds awesome. Would love a full HD edition of The Black Hole. It's always been one of my favourite movies.
Just hope they prepare a great Blu-ray release and maybe locate some of the deleted scenes for it.

It has been available on iTunes in 1080p HD for a little while now. Typical Disney "vault" nonsense with their trickle release schedule.
