ANY installment that doesn't have Lucas behind the camera is a film I eagerly anticipate.

The rumors are that Luke went into self-exile because he was concerned that he was too powerful and didn't want to get tempted to the Dark Side. So in essence, the force is asleep (as Luke is the only remaining Jedi). The main villain makes it necessary for him to come out of hiding, thus awakening the force.

If that is true, then I like the title!

I want to see a light saber alarm clock, to truly awaken the Force.
And the voice of Darth Vader that says "I find this wake-up call disturbing", and "the batteries are strong in this one"...

I'm cautiously optimist about the new movies. For some reason it doesn't bother to much to see an Old Jedi Luke, because he'll be like Obi Wan. But I'm not to keen on seeing a 72 year Han Solo & Leia.

Part of me wishes they pulled a "J.J. Abrams Star Trek" and recast. Then they could have picked up right where "Return of the Jedi" left off. I don't know...I'll reserve judgment.

That's pretty much what I've been hearing. I also heard that Luke has lost control of the Force or tapped into a different side of the Force for which he has lost control.
I am more than machine. More than man. More than a fusion of the two.

It's a passive sentence. The force awakens means something, somwhere else, the force, has returned. Twist the words a bit to Awaken the Force and you create a title with an action. It's also the first time a subtitle has used the word force as well. I'm good with it. I still think that Sith inquisitor that leaked is actually Luke gone slightly force mad before returning to his senses.
I almost had a psychic girlfriend but she dumped me before we met.
