    Terminator: Genisys

Sarah Connor isn’t the innocent she was when Linda Hamilton first sported feathered hair and acid-washed jeans in the role. Nor is she Hamilton's steely zero body-fat warrior in 1991's T2. Rather, the mother of humanity's messiah was orphaned by a Terminator at age 9. Since then, she's been raised by (brace yourself) Schwarzenegger's Terminator -- an older T-800 she calls "Pops" -- who is programmed to guard rather than to kill. As a result, Sarah is a highly trained antisocial recluse who’s great with a sniper rifle but not so skilled at the nuances of human emotion.

Why does these sound like we will get a remake after this movie bombs.

I'm waiting for a stuffed Terminator snuggle buddy doll. Is there anything left to pee on with this legacy? They have pilfered every shred of material on the subject. And from my vantage point, the originality of the story was long gone after the first film. To me, that first film was all encompassing. It's one complete story that needs no further embellishment. It's not like they've got binoculars in the future that can look into the past... "No that terminator didn't get the job done. Send another. Uhm... no. Still not working. Send one more." And now we have Sarah Connor with a Terminator bodyguard? Let me guess... They find a way to mate... Oh Lord.
