New Battlestar Galactica Book - The Complete History of the Series.

Just came out tho Amazon has it on pre-order for substantially less than books stores. Contains many R. McQuarrie paintings, behind the scenes art. I'd like even more but still a pretty good book:

Interesting... I have some of the other "vault" style books and they're pretty cool.
I'd be more interested in this if it focused exclusively on the classic series, but I guess I can understand why they want to include the reboot so it's a comprehensive account of the entire history of the franchise.

      Sounds good, and affordable.
I like both series, so I'm in!

Nice! I'll have to give some thought to that. Sounds like a good read. However I will say, allot of times when I want to know more about a series or movie I look for good commentaries on the DVD's. Allot of times those provide allot of great information and a general overview of production and attitudes on the set that you never get from books. The classic BSG boxset has a great commentary with the lead off episode/movie.

That's a great price but I have no interest in new series. I'd have to see a copy in order to make a decesion to buy a copy or not.

I've seen a copy at a B&N Bookstore and it is pretty good. I would like more tech stuff and more classic series art. There must be drawers full of art by the original ILM sitting around Universal and they're just sitting on it. Plenty of R. McQuarrie paintings of concepts.
