I found this lil gem at Wal Mart for 5 bucks...hadn't seen it fer years. Kinda cheesy effects but a really good movie anyway- the wise crackin sidekick Vinnie steals the show. I'll give it 2 thumbs up.

I remember that one the alien engine opens up a rift in time, I used to love that film when I first saw it back in the late 80's I think

The thing I remember the most was the press made a huge stink over the fact that it was the first Disney produced movie to have a character use the "F" word. Vinnie says it when he sees the T-Rex in the gym, "It's God-F-ing zilla"

I haven't seen this in years. I might be wrong but I think Vinnie is played by Fisher Stevens before he was in Short Circut?
