This guy goes into detail as he explains how he re-created Moonbase Alpha digitally. It wasn't that easy as there were different models and they didn't always match the interiors/sets. Also sometimes you get lens distortion and it will throw off your measurements. By this guy's calculations the base is larger and more massive than I had thought when you scale the Main Mission area to the tower.
