I bought it back then and it is absolutely incredible. John Barry's best work IMO.
    Agreed. It's a wonderful soundtrack.

Yes, the HD transfers for both are done but are unfortunately only available for online streaming rental services. If they are waiting for the re-makes we could be in for a VERY long wait for those Blu Rays.
You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...

I read that there was going to be a remake by the same director that directed the Tron sequel and the blu-ray of the original movie was going to be released in conjunction with the remake/reboot. The thing is is that the remake/reboot is probably still a few years away.

I have the DVD of the movie, but the sound is terrible. The dialogue is real quiet while explosions and laser blasts are loud.
I am more than machine. More than man. More than a fusion of the two.

Too much nerdy sequel and soundtrack talk

More talk about how hot Yvette Mimieux is (was)

I actually think The Black Hole score is lousy and lifeless. The main theme is monotonous. The 'heroic' theme is rum-dum-dummy bland.
