I'm kinda hoping Mr. Pink is just a way to get Clara out of the picture, but I'm suspicious that he will be her replacement, along with the soldier girl Jenny. Pink and Blue? Almost too perfect.
The show tonight was great, and I really am liking Capaldi so far. My only gripe is they talk to fast and it's hard to understand through the accent.
Loved the nod to Fantastic Voyage, and I'll probably quote the line about the "carer" more than once in conversations!

      Best Dalek episode since Dalek.

Loved the homages to second, fourth, and eighth Doctor Dalek stories!

I do have one prob with Capaldi

I'm finding it REALLY hard to understand half the things he says.

I wish they would have found an American English friendly actor.

Sorry, but I just can't understand him half the time

^It's no worse than trying to figure out what Amy was saying half of the time. It'll just take some time to get use to his way of talking.

I'm also having some trouble understanding Capaldi. Hopefully folks will get used to it... otherwise BBC America will need to use subtitles.

I also couldn't help myself and watched ahead.

I'm seeing a lot of similar ground that Stephen Moffat covered in his earlier comedy/sitcom Coupling, oddly enough. Particularly with the relationship stuff.

Just think of it as learning a foreign language.
It takes time to get the accent.
Take it from someone who knows all about this...

I'm digging Capaldi's less touchy-feely doctor. He does have some great lines. The line about Clara having hips like a man was hilarious, but he must be blind.

I do have some trouble understanding him, but then I have trouble understanding Tennant when he gets on a role.

Actually, Eccleston was 100% easier for me to understand than Capaldi.

My favorite Doctors (for understanding everything they say) is Tom Baker, Peter Davison and Colin Baker.

Clem, you have to understand that many Americans are not exposed to UK accents much in the same way many Brits are not exposed to US accents. Would you be able to understand a Creole or thick Boston accent?

Clem, the only stuff I have trouble understanding is Cockney, thick Irish or Scottish brogue, and ancient Welsh. I have to say I don't recall ever having trouble understanding anyone on Doctor Who.
