Anyone remember Earth Star Voyager? It was a failed pilot from the late 80s that was eventually aired as a TV movie as part of the "Wonderful World of Disney" series.
I remember the plot had something to do with a crew of kids fresh from the space academy sent on a mission across the galaxy... I think the conceit was, space travel would take so long you'd have to use kids or else they'd be too old by the time they got back. I'm fuzzy on the details, but I remember thinking it was really cool when I saw it back in the day.
I've never met anybody who remembers this thing. Whenever I describe it to people, I always get blank looks... or they try to convince me I'm thinking of some other show. Surely someone here will know what I'm talking about, though. Anyone seen it recently? Does it hold up?
