Doctor Who - The Ultimate Companion - BBC America

This TV special aired last night and I must say this was the worst piece o st BBC America ever showed us (relating to Dr Who)

I was sooooo let down --- wishing to see some still living oldies companions other than Davison's badly aging babes.

Nyssa went from hot to W_T_F ?

    Show was a super letdown

Only saving grace was it clearly was a commercial for current companion Clara (whom I love)

I dvr'd it but havent watched it yet. I wasnt expecting too much though, as the 50th anniversaryspecials were nothing spectacular either.
Looks like Jenna is out though

It was kinda weird ...... Just Davison companions (only his gals) and New Series Companions

      ps --- what's up with Barrowman ?

Even in real life the guy never ages

I don't think Jenna fits well with the new Doctor, so her leaving is good.

This special was kind of "blah". I watched part of "The Ultimate Time Lord" last night, and DVRed the rest. It was looking more promising, but was pretty much more of the same.

I know they do it all the time but i'm kinda getting sick of them pushing this new Doctor

Don't tell me how great he is --- let me decide for myself

They did the same thing when Colin Baker took over - and EVERYBODY knows what happened then

All those specials kind of suck, so it's consistent.

I've seen the first three Capaldi shows, he's a good Doctor, equal parts menace and childishness, he knows what he's doing.

It's just going to take me a little time to get used to him

For now I can only imagine him as the d___head from Children of Earth

BBC America aired "The Fires of Pompei" with Capaldi this weekend. First time I'd seen it. Not a bad show, but I find Tennant's episodes often run too breakneck for me, and when he gets on a roll, his accent gets a bit thick for my old ears. Still enjoyed it.

I've caught a bit of "The Musketeers" and Capaldi is great as the evil Richelou.

Missed this one but caught Ultimate Timelord which I liked.

Especially the part where 5-8 were all together.

I watched most of the Ultimate Doctor the other night and I thought it was ok. My expectations were low, but I enjoyed seeing Davidson host and the segment with the other older docs while short was funny enough. It was late so I didn't feel like I'd wasted my time.
