Lots of neat stuff to be discovered here. Personally, I found info from the Cage pilot most interesting. I always wondered who that obviously Star Fleet officer was in "mr. Pikes Place". Turns out he was just some generic space officer. The different uniform seems to have been used to indicate he wasnt from the Enterprise (according to the script). I always wondered if his different tunic was meant to represent a early version of a class A dress uniform, or if it was a leftover from the design stages?
In fact, in my own revisionist Trek theories I often wonder if that officer wasnt meant to be (in Pikes sub-conscious) a former Enterprise Captain (April) mocking Pike for considering such a lifestyle in the first place.....I know....I think too much sometimes.
In the early Spock makeup pics, you can see another early/discarded tunic on the Yeoman he is pictured with...cool stuff!
