First pics of Zachary Quinto as Spock.

Not the greatest pics and they are overly watermarked but he is in full Spock makeup.

JFX Online EXCLUSIVE: Quinto As Young Spock!
You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...

I was expecting him to look abit like Sylar. He looks great as Spock.

To be honest, I did have my concerns with all the recent re-imagined Sci-fi properties that bare little to no resemblance to their source material.

Sci-Fi channels ridiculously bad Flash Gordon's series being a prime example. I had visions of some exec or writer saying "We can't give the new Spock pointed ears that's not edgy or realistic." or having the Phasers shoot bullets or something stupid like that.

I'm happy and relieved by the photos of I've seen of Spock and of Universal's new Wolfman.

If there's one group that wouldn't put up with that, it's trekkies.

It's funny, I'm all for the new BSG, but I'd just as soon they bust out the plywood sets and gel lights for Star Trek.

                    You got that right
Capt. Kirk: "Is there anyone on this ship, who even remotely, looks like Satan?"
Mr. Spock: "I am not aware of anyone who fits that description, Captain"
Capt. Kirk: "No, Mr. Spock, I didn't think you would be"

After watching Heros...I knew They had made the right choice for Spock...He's PERFECT! Still uncertain about Thier pick for Kirk though...Chris Pine better nail it...or they've got nothing!

You know I've been thinking the Trek franchise had been trodded over one too many times through the years and when I had heard they were doing a retro movie with a "young" Spock and Kirk I just thought to myself, "There's the death gurgle." But much of what I've been reading has proven interesting and after seeing these pics, I am very encouraged. We might just have something here. It looks like they finally have the right creative team onboard.
