JJ Abrams doing a Westworld based TV show?

This article focuses on cancellations, but there's a mention of Westworld which always catches my eye:

I was mildly interested in Revolution. It would be nice if cancelled shows got a chance for a finale episode.

    That's cool!

And apparently it is going to be on HBO... which I imagine means lots of sex with androids.

Is he becoming another Tarentino? Can't do anything original?

Westworld was one of the best underrated sci-fi flicks of the 70s, and perfect for a regular TV or mini-series. Hopefully it fares better than the last attempt in 1980.

They could make all the worlds like medieval world.

Westworld at least had real lens flares.

-but in a series, how many times can the park have a malfunction?

They might as well include Mr. R.I.N.G. from Kolchak. When is that to become a major motion picture?

I assume it'll have a polar bear in it...

Meh, I can't imagine a Westworld without Yul Brenner

That should give JJ plenty of opportunity for lens flares.
                Fresh, not from concentrate.

Westworld was a great movie, but I'm not sure how it would translate as an ongoing series. Maybe a miniseries, but as said knowing the place malfunctions is the whole plot. It would be like spinning Jurassic Park into a series. No suspense after the dinos break loose....again.

The park breaks down every year and we watch the annual 12 episodes to see how they clean the park up. It never closes because it's the world's #1 attraction.
