I heard some of this stuff but I can't think of Flash Gordon as a failure.

Back in the day Flash Gordon came out when I was in highschool.

Everybody loved it bigtime (including the girls)

Not just a geek movie either

People that say it was a failure probably didn't live through it's release -- or if they did perhaps they were on the moon
