Looks cool, but I'm more interested in the post-ROTS era...
you know, once the SITH are "large and in charge"
(and I heard there's gonna be a show based on that)
Though, again, the CLONE WARS thing still looks cool."No. No no no no no no. You done got me talkin' politics. I didn't wanna'. Like I said y'all, I'm just happy to be alive. I think I'll scoot over here right by this winda', let this beautiful carriage rock me to sleep, and dream about how lucky I am." - Chris MannixComment

I followed SHADOWS OF THE EMPIRE---bought the book and the action
figures----I liked the story pretty much and like the idea that it took
place in that crucial original trilogy spot inbetween EMPIRE and JEDI
---but---as far as this FORCE UNLEASHED goes---I don't know if I'm ready to
sit down with another book that doesn't take place during the
"Luke/Leia/R2/3PO/Han/Vader/Chewie etc." era---no matter how much I like that
time period between ROTS and ANH (STAR WARS Ep. IV)
I'm too lazy nowadays...especially to go THAT far into the Expanded Universe
without a movie or TV show to make it easier for me to witness.
However, thanks for the heads up (I don't want to sound ungrateful
for the info!) And since at least Palpatine and Vader are in it as SITHS---
and maybe Fett is in there too(?) That's cool enough for me to think to
check it out maybe sometime in the far future.
And, by the way....after watching that computer animated CLONE WARS movie trailer-
--man---why can't they just do that with SHADOWS OF THE EMPIRE
and/or SPLINTER OF THE MIND'S EYE----I'd freakin' LOVE that!
In fact...in animated versions of those two stories...
Mark Hamill would be perfect casting for Luke Skywalker!Last edited by huedell; Mar 14, '08, 9:41 PM."No. No no no no no no. You done got me talkin' politics. I didn't wanna'. The show is inspired by the art of Ralph McQuarrie. Should be gorgeous, especially on high def as the series progresses. From what I understand the first 3 episodes are not as visually stunning as what's to come because they hadn't gotten their techniques down yet.
Everything they said at the Wonder-Con panel sounded great, expanding on Anakin's story and relationship with ObiWan, developing their characters further. All of which leads one to wish they had tried that in the live action prequels. It's great to do an animated series, but they botched the films. This profile is no longer active.Comment

It look's good,Dark Woman is back! More stuff to collect then huedell
I do like Ralph McQuarrie's artwork especially Cloud City he paintedand the concept stuff he did.Be nice to have more background to the characters, maybe we mite get a more insight into the Sith and Boba Fett?

showcasing and portraying the relationship between Obi-Wan and Anakin.
If anything it was the relationship/dialogue between Anakin and PADME that
was "botched".
And my opinion is basically common consensus as far as I know."No. No no no no no no. You done got me talkin' politics. I didn't wanna'. Like I said y'all, I'm just happy to be alive. I for one think Lucas did a fine job of showing us the friendship between Anakin and Obi-Wan, which was unique in that it was master-student but also brother-brother and rival-rival. Many fans somehow miss the nuanced development between the two, and tend to focus on the friction between them as opposed to the moments of mutual respect and friendship. To me it all seems very real and echoes certain relationships I've had in my life.
My main concern with the animated series is that Anakin is going to have a padawan learner of sorts, a young female name Asohka (sic?). This raises any number of possible inconsistencies and weirdnesses, but my mind is open before making any judegments.Comment

Anakin has a Padawan even though he only just get promoted in movie 3?
Annie/ Vader has an apprentice (According to the game) Between Sith and a new hope? Isnt that breaking Sith rules. Boy and he just got the job too.
Continuity........... whats that? Its not like we're making this up as we go along..
Oops wrong room This isnt Star wars vs Star TrekLo there do I see my Father.
Lo there do I see my Mother and my Sisters and my Brothers.
Lo there do I see the line of my people back to the begining.
Lo they do call me.
They bid me take my place among them.

This issue ain't even worthy of that.
Especially when, firstly, as it is, TREK is chock full of annoying
inconsistencies--- and you can accept it or not---and that's that.
and, secondly, as far as STAR WARS goes, Anakin can have all the
apprentice "types" he wants (Jedi OR Sith)...just as long as they are not official---
OR as long as they don't last long---OR some other "awkward scenario"
to create tension with the "higher ups" (i.e. Emperor or Jedi Council)---
-which you know, for "drama's" sake, will be the case...
....so...my thoughts are that its totally logical---or you
can be a stickler about a fictional issue----
*sigh* if only the ones that have problems with this stuff could be on the
Jedi Council----THEN these matters could be dealt with more realistically"No. No no no no no no. You done got me talkin' politics. I didn't wanna'. Like I said y'all, I'm just happy to be alive. I think I'll scoot over here right by this winda', let this beautiful carriage rock me to sleep, and dream about how lucky I am." - Chris MannixComment
