Cool! I really hope it happens. With three movies under her belt as a supporting/ensemble player (And a fourth coming up in Avengers 2), she certainly deserves it.

It's only a matter of time before the character becomes the focus of her own movie.

"As Scarlett has already said, there's a big element that explores her back story in an upcoming Marvel feature," says "Captain America: The Winter Soldier" producer Kevin Feige.

"So the question really is when would we want to take her out of that ensemble to go and do her own thing? In fact, as you saw in this movie, and as you'll see in `Avengers: Age of Ultron,' (due in 2015), she is kind of the key to so much of the broader world."

I read that Feige had actually confirmed a solo Widow film is in development.

I think a Black Widow spinoff film will depend on how well Lucy does at the Box Office. They certainly seem to be setting up it up in Winter Soldier with all the hints at her past and uncertain future.
