Man, I want to see this. Hope it plays in my area but I doubt it.Comment

I'm a big fan of the madman. Back in the day, I found a video store in Santa Monica (Vidiots) that had Japanese (censored) versions of El Topo and The Holy Mountain. I saw Santa Sangre on the big screen. His version of Dune would have been mind blowing. I believe Pink Floyd was going to do the soundtrack.

I read the book in the last five years and found it to be very engaging. One of the few science fiction books I've read. I tried reading C.S. Lewis' science if series but couldn't get into it. This film looks great but I kind of liked the old one from the eighties. I enjoyed hearing the inner struggle of the characters. Quite a trippy looking movie.Comment

Ooo, I really want to see this doc! I've always dreamed about how mind blowing a Jodorowsky Dune would have been. It's such a shame that it didn't happen and I'm sure that after watching this I'll be even more sad about that.
Now they are easily found domestically on DVD and Blu-ray (EDIT: I just checked Amazon, the Blu-ray versions must be OOP because they are going for a lot of cash now. Dammit, I kept putting off picking those up!)

I'd like to add, that I am, and always have been, a fan of Lynch's Dune. I think he did an admirable job with a very difficult book to adapt to film. I find it wholly satisfying as a Sci-Fi film.Comment
