    Doctor Who props and costumes

With a 50-year lifespan, it's sadly expected that many iconic props will end up in the rubbish, but through some miracle, these survived.

If only we could have a Doctor Who Museum here in the States to showcase the stuff the UK can't display.

I was never a fan of that console

I always thought it looked like it was made by Puzz-3D

I'm surprised any props/costumes are still around. They couldn't even save the episodes at one point.

I read that the 5 Doctor's Console was designed with an abundance of buttons to placate incoming directors. They always wanted to cut into the old style console to add new functions for their particular story. JNT felt with so many buttons and tele screens no one would need to try and modify it further, (tho incoming directors still wanted to cut new holes into the console). It loos like it was designed with a Syd Mead style. It's not too far off from the control panels in the Leonov in the film 2010.

I liked it, i thought it had plenty off buttons to play with.

It's my third favorite console. After the McGann TVM console, and the original Hartnell console.

When it come to a woodie these were the props and costumes that always did it for me.

The TVM console still exists. It underwent a full restoration, and now tours the Western US convention circuit.
