Hopefully any Pixar SW movie will won't go the Cars route and have talking ships and no people. Otherwise it makes sense and could be very cool. I'd love an animated SW movie with the original trilogy characters that takes place between Star Wars and Empire.

Rumor: Pixar to make animated Star Wars movie.
You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...Tags: None -
See, here's what Disney should do with Star Wars - Ditch the computers, and go old school. How many times have we heard Star Wars described as a fairy tale? Well, they should animate it old school to look like one. I would love to see an animated SW film in the style of Sleeping Beauty. Hand drawn, lush, story-book-come-to-life visuals with painterly backgrounds in the classic Disney style. Time to lend some class to both Disney and Star Wars by re-rooting it in the classic aesthetic. -

I wonder how this fits in with the Lucasfilm Animation department that's been doing Clone Wars and the new Rebels series. This profile is no longer active.Comment

I agree with Hedji, always preferred hand drawn animation to computer. It's just not the same to me. There was a former disney animator who had done some classic superman shorts and put them up on YouTube, they're stellar and capture the best about Superman. Would love to see a full length film by him or even a series.Comment

Shadows of the Empire is what they should do. Get the original cast to voice the characters. You wouldn't even need Ford to come back. Ive been saying they should have done an animated version of it since the 90's. Shadows had a book, toy line, video game, action figures, even a freakin soundtrack but no movie. An animated film always made sense."Many Shubs and Zuuls knew what it was to be roasted in the depths of the Sloar that day I can tell you."Comment

I want something new - as in post RotJ. All the prequels and old republic stuff are OK, but for me it takes something away knowing how things ultimately end.Comment

A good story stops as soon as you begin a prequel."Many Shubs and Zuuls knew what it was to be roasted in the depths of the Sloar that day I can tell you."Comment

Wow that Superman cartoon was fantastic. Loved it, especially how his curl popped up.
Brad Bird would be great on Star Wars live or animated. I really would have liked to have seen what he'd do with Superman on film, again live or animated.
As for Star Wars, I game for any way they want to serve it up.Comment
