My son and I were really hoping he'd go for the moustached look from some of his pre-Who publicity photos -- would've been something new for the Doctor, and he wears it well.

^Yeah, the first pic I saw of him was that one. I was kind of hoping he'd rock that too. It would definitely make him stand out from the crowd..although Hurt now rocked some facial hair.

I think that's Smith's outfit. He regenerated in that, minus the bow tie.Looks like a more toned down version of what Jon Pertwee wore, minus the opera cape.
I really like the look too! It suits him beautifully.

I always thought it was a nice touch after Tennant regenerated into Smith, that Smith did not find his outfit until the end of the episode.
Always neat to see how each Doctor "finds" his outfit. Wonder if his will co-incide with regaining his memories or not? Or perhaps he really will have a blank slate starting with this fresh batch of regenerations.
At the very least, customizers can start making their newly regenerated Capaldi figure while we wait to see what his costume is going to be.Comment
