      Wow I would have loved this as a kid it reminds me of a Gerry Anderson show mixed with Voltron.

        you do know though that you can get this set relatively cheaply from Amazon Uk (and ebay). It was also released in Australia too. I bought the first issue box set that came out. They then re-released it but in a slimmer box and at a lower price.

        if this link comes up right you will see the first two choices on amazon-uk for the newer slim and the older larger box


        they also made 2-3 movies from the series that were originally made for the Uk market, though they aired on Showtime in the US when they were showing the US version back in the early 80's. I have them if needed, since those movies have not been released on dvd

        I also have 6 of the 8 tapes released here in the US. The US series combined two eps into one and slightly edited them. So on the US vhs tapes it appears as if each episode is about 45 mins or so. The UK set is the original uncut versions and the English dubbing is the same so you are not losing anything

          I have the box set bought it when it first came out ..its great you got a poster booklets and post card set... also terrahawks is very good too..

            I grew up watching Star Fleet I loved the show,Dai X and X-bomber.Awesome,I remember Commander Makara always giving Captain Orion grief in one way or another lol.

            Did not know it was released on dvd,that's one to track down and bring back those great saturday shows.
