It's more commonly just known as "the Massacre" at least that's the title used for the lost stories audio version.

I'm just hoping it's not a fan misunderstanding of the two episodes they found last year and now they are finally releasing them to the public.

Have any of this old Doctor Who reels ever turned up on ebay? Would be amazed if not.

Not sure if it would be legal.

The BBC technically still owns those reels.

It would be like selling stolen goods and ebay would boot it

That's not a denial. Hope springs anew. Press conference rescheduled for Thurs.

“The BBC has asked the Mirror not to reveal the new details of the London press conference, but fans should find out which episodes have been discovered by the end of the week.”

it gets into a grey area as the film prints from the BBC stock were "trashed" back in the day, even copies sold for overseas tv stations (incl US ones) so people who may have a lost print in their possesion aren't technically doing anything wrong.
As a collector of toys, I can see a film buff selfishly hoariding something for him/herself rather than share but I beleive if the person who has the print is a fab they would share, but the right to sell or distribute prints/dvd/any home viewing version is still BBC's since they have never released the onwership of the intellectual property

I always hope but for another Tomb of the Cybermen like discovery but I'm long past getting excited by the rumors
