I catch an occasional TNG episode on BBC America. When they are good, they are really good. But when they are off...they are still watchable, but man they are dull. There is just a lack of...passion from all involved. From the writers to the actors to the producers. I was always more of a TOS guy, but you are right, time has proven TNG is the lesser show. TOS had that magic alchemy of cast and character that you just can't replicate.
I haven't watched any DVDs in while but when I see certain movies on tv I always watch them
Mad Max
Escape From New York
High Noon
Magnificent Seven
Any James Bond movie
Flash Gordon(1980)
First Blood
The Green Berets
Escape From New York
Escape from L.A. (which sucks, I know. It doesn't stop me.)
A Clockwork Orange
The Shining
The Warriors
60's Aquaman cartoons
The Devils Rejects
Caddyshack
Enter The Dragon
Friday the 13th part 6
Blazing Saddles
The Jerk
They Live
And if Empire Strikes Back is on tv, I'll probably watch it.
Well, lately, I've been stuck on COZI-TV and MeTV, so that means the following shows:
Charlie's Angels
The Bionic Woman
Banacek
McMillan and Wife/McMillan
Six Million Dollar Man
Magnum P.I.
The Love Boat
Streets Of San Fransisco
Cannon
Kojak
Batman (66)
Lost In Space
Star Trek (original)
Svengoolie (classic Sci-Fi and Horror)
On Friday night I love some Brady Bunch and Partridge Family and of course there's my Saturday morning cartoons.

'Cos I believe, I believe that I do,
Yes, I can see I believe that it's magic
If your mission is magic your love will shine true."
OK, it just occured to me that this thread is on the Sci-Fi board, (DUH!) This is what happens when I post when I'm tired. So just disregard the non-sci-fi shows in my last reply.

Planet of the Apes movies and tv series
Twilight Zone
Big Bang Theory
Criminal Minds
NCIS
Star Treks (plural)
Star Wars (again, plural)
Breaking Bad
Walking Dead
Any George A. Romero zombie movie
Superhero movies, tv shows and cartoons
The old Universal Monster movies
Any John Wayne movie
Any Clint Eastwood movie
Geeze! I think I need to get out more often...lol!
Courage is being scared to death but saddlin' up anyway. - John Wayne
It's weird.... especially when they start explaining things. Compared to newer stuff it's also kinda slow. Not a problem if you're used to 70's sci-fi.
I ADORE The Avengers with Dianna Rigg/Emma Peel...can't get enough of both the show and her, lol.
Years past, I would've said Star Trek: The Next Generation, but it has not aged well, and ironically, the original series has (timeless)...so today, I now much prefer the adventurous Kirk and company over Picard's politically correct ship. I prefer DS9 over TNG as well..
Seinfeld, I never get tired of Seinfeld.
As far as movies, too many to list, but the ALIEN series I dig a lot...and of course, Superman 1&2, and the original Star Wars Trilogy.
Too many, too many...
I have made the decision to watch Deep Space 9 instead of
TNG, and I can live with that. I can...live with it.

I have always said I prefer the first three seasons of TNG. Most fans say they like the later seasons but I found a lot of them to be rather dour. The early seasons are more fun. Same thing for DS9. Once they got heavy into the Dominion War I lost interest.
