    Let's play "Cast Star Wars"

My husband and I were playing "Who'd we would pay money to see play the characters of Luke, Leia and Han in Disney's sequels."

    We came up with:

    Nathan Fillion as Han Solo
    Nathan Hamill as Luke Skywalker
(special cameos by Mark Hamill as the spirit of Anakin Skywalker)

But Leia were were stumped by.

She needs to be able to share the screen with Fillion and have it not appear as parody. They have to play well and hopefully have SOME chemistry. And it would hurt to have her look a bit like Carrie Fisher circa 1983. Fillion is mid 40's, Leia should be mid 30's like Nathan Hamill.

    I'm leaning towards Erica Durance.
Adrianne Palicki would be my second choice.

Carla Gallo would look the part... but I don't know if she has the presence to stand up to Fillion.

My dark horse Leia would be Eliza Dushku. She's tough as nails, hot, and short.

Who would you like to see as the main three? Better yet, who would convince you to pay the money to see them in the roles?

    Hmmm,

Woody Harrelson as Han Solo .... his age would be about right too

Ewan Mcgregor as Obi Wan's ghost. He deserves to be in a really good SW movie.
You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...

^I think he'll have a long wait for that to happen. Unless he can find a time machine.

I always thought David Ducovny could pull off Han Solo. He might be a bit old for it now, but still younger than Harrison Ford.

If Princess Leia has a daughter in these sequels, she HAS to be played by Kate Mara.

            Seriously.

Thumbed through Dark Horse's The Star Wars issue 1 at my local comic book shop earlier today(have to wait until next week to buy it). I'm actually surprised Disney didn't decide to reboot the franchise using George's original 1974 draft. Maybe bring back Mark to play 60 year old General Luke Starkiller. Maybe Edward James Olmos as General Vader and cast little known performers as the younger characters. Maybe Nathan Fillion as the alien smuggler Han Solo.

Mark's son. He had a cameo in the prequels playing a Senate Guard.

Jason Swank and Jimmy Mac of Rebel Force Radio played audio during a recent show of Ewan McGregor mentioning that if asked he would be interested in reprising the role of Obi-Wan Kenobi. Would be great to see him make a cameo as Obi-Wan's spirit communicating with Luke(Mark Hamill) in Episode VII. Could see Nathan Hamill cast as Luke's son.
