I just saw the trailer online, looks like it may have some promise, I don't know if I like the black suit yet, but we'll see.

Absolutely awful. A travesty. Like pretty much all remakes, everything good about the original is taken out and replaced with everything that makes movies and modern hollywood in general bad.
The original to me is more than another dumb action movies. It was a great satire with great social and economic commentary and the nihilistic violent was a real kick in the teeth.

Hmmmm....
The original was very much a product of it's time. You could tell by how the feel changed with each sequel. A new one won't be. It MIGHT be good, but from what I've seen it looks like a weird "8-Man After" clone.

The original Robo Cop worked because of director Paul Verhoeven, who had such a wonderful satirical style to his films. Also see Total Recall and Starship Troopers. The material by itself was never very strong. Remakes these days only demonstrate the brilliance of the director who was behind the camera for the original.Comment

When the first Iron Man movie came out and surpassed everyones expectations by making bazillions a bunch of movie executives thought "We got a thing with a guy in a metal suit too!" and this was immediately green lit. I'm not at all kidding. The "in production" announcement went out the opening weekend.
I don't even think of this as a remake of Robocop - just a superhero movie financially leveraging itself with the Robocop IP/brand and using a few story elements. None of the satire will survive, and of course the violence is WAY cut down. Robocop with his helmet off doesn't even look horrific in this version - it almost looks fun to be a Robocop now.Comment

I've been watched new "Total Recall", it's sucks....
I looked up on the YouTube.com and watched the Robocop 2014 Trailer, glad that's close as original!
