No description yet. But I doubt they have the unaltered versions in the set. My guess is a repack of the previous Blu-Rays with the same transfers downscaled to the included DVDs

New Star Wars Blu Ray/DVD combo sets coming in October
You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...Tags: None -
Seems kind of pointless if it's just a repack. I bought the OT in blu ray for the quality and already have both versions of the DVDs. The only allure would if they are including the "original version" DVD's for those who missed out on those. -

Still haven't bought the BR.
I just have the DVDs with the two versions.
Are the extras worth the purchase?.

They also need to include both Ewok movies, Ewok cartoons, Droids cartoons, and the Holiday Special.Last edited by monitor_ep; Aug 13, '13, 12:49 AM.Visit my wiki site:

I picked up the Blu-ray set pretty much just for the Original Trilogy deleted scenes, and it was definitely worth the purchase, IMO.
Highlights from the original movies include the deleted Biggs and Luke scenes at Tosche Station, the Wampa attack on Echo Base, the Tatooine sandstorm, the Moff Jerjerrod Death Star scenes, the extended raid on the shield generator bunker, etc.
Some of the ANH deleted scenes were previously released on the Behind the Magic CD-ROM back in '97 and have since found their way to YouTube, but it's cool to finally get so many of the legendary deleted scenes from all three movies.
There are also cool extras like the original vintage "making of" documentaries, and the Boba Fett animated segment from the SW Holiday Special.PUNY HUMANS!Comment

I'll never buy another copy unless it is the theatrical cut.
It is a fan-cut, but if you have not seen the HD Harmy De-specialized trilogy - you're doing yourself a disservice.
They are pretty darn close to theatrical cuts and all I ever watch.Comment

I have photos of Han with a girl on his lap, in the Cantina.
I also remember seeing a scene where Prowse storms into the Hoth Rebel camp and trips and falls.
I wonder where these shots came from? Would this still exist?.

The whole thing is included on the '97 Behind the Magic CD-ROM, and on the Blu-ray... although it's in b&w.

Damn. That means I'm going to have to buy the BR at some point to get some of these extras.
I hate spending money I don't really want to....
