That is awesome. It's hard to imagine these types of things just disappear and then fall into disrepair...but we know from countless stories like this, it happens. Kudos to these guys for restoring a part of Trek and TV history.
Before the refurb I was reading how they almost got it back in ship-shape in the 1990's-but the whole project fell apart. Good to see it was rescued. I bet Paramount is sore they didn't save it all those years to auction it off at Christies.
