That trailer's really up front about the true sex-shifting nature of the Berg Katse/Zoltar character.

(Having grown up with BOTP, that was quite a revelation when I eventually saw the original uncut Gatchaman episodes.)

Hmmmm....

I was looking at this earlier. It looks neat, but not very much like the original show. (Although it looks like they cribbed the armour from the "Capcom vs Tatsunoko" game.) I wouldn't mind so much, but a lot of the designs, scenes and action seem really familiar.

After being blown away by the Star Blazers live action movie, this one swings too far into the redesign for me.

I'll still see it though, not going to pretend that it's not in my future.

I can't wait to see it! Hopefully there will be a dubbed version available not to long after it comes out. I loved Battle of the Planets as a kid. One of my friends spent a lot time trying to convice me he was Keyop!

Looks cool to me; I'll see it. I really liked the Star Blazers movie, and got it on DVD from Amazon. You can probably youTube portions of the movie. I have the complete Star Blazers Season 1 & 2 on DVD, but havent found a "Complete" Battle of the Planets or superior Gatchaman complete collection. Now granted, the SB movie, while very good, does not equal the original cartoon show, but I didn't expect it too. We'll see how this movie compares to the original BotP / Gatcha. Like SB, I don't expect it to, but I'm sure ill see it anyways.
