    Another Gerry Anderson UFO thread

I'm up to the episode when they played the Beatles Get Back

Wow !!!, a Beatles song in a old TV show ? (not counting Dr Who)

How did they swing around getting the rights for the DVD release ?

    anyway,

After the episode where Staker's son died and now this one (it's all a dream) i'm hoping the show get's more fun.

    That's Ordeal right?

I have no idea how they swung it on the DVD, I was sure it'd have been changed.

I don't recall many "fun" episodes of UFO, although I really like ones like "Kill Straker" and "Timelash"

          >a Beatles song in a old TV show ?

The last episode of the original prisioner has one too.

          >I don't recall many "fun" episodes of UFO

....depending on your definition of "fun" I guess. I liked the somewhat bleak and harsh nature of the show; it's a LOT different from most of the stuff we get.

As do i but there's not many happy episodes. I always hated when every reviewer compared the characters to Star Trek, the crew of the Enterprise has for the most part, a happy life. The SHADO operatives have a miserable and scary gig.

I love this show, very stylish, but like Space 1999 it's always deadly serious.

Yeah.... starting right from the first episode, as I recall.... when they find that one dude's sister. (Or PARTS of her, at least.)

The Long Sleep is pretty cool, as is The Cat With Ten Lives, but aw heck everyone dies bleak bleak again!!! Timelash is perhaps a bit more upbeat, maybe, ish.

I heart this show. The sounds that the UFOs make are wicked cool.

Just watched the episode Confetti Check A-O.K.

There was no intro song on my DVD

Was it ment to have no intro or is it missing just on my DVD ?

                          No clue on that one.

Here is something I didn't know. UFO's Wanda Ventham AKA Col. Virginia Lake

is mother to Khan AKA Benedict Cumberpatch.

How could I have never noticed that?
