Doctor Who and BS rumours are sadly too frequent.

I do hope this one is true, love to see some new serials.

      Me too, especially some Troughton's

I'm just thinking it seems too convenient for this to happen on the 50th anniversary

I read the original article the other day over at Bleeding Cool. I was going to mention this if nobody else brought it up.

Since Rich Johnston at BC has both of his sources telling him the same thing, I hope this turns out to be true. But we fans have been burned before.

Perhaps they've had them for a while, and have been cleaning them up and like Lucas did with Star Wars just waiting to release the "lost footage" on an anniversary.

Doctor Who Bulletin magazine had reported there were episodes to be recovered in Africa back in the `80's but never had a follow-up on the lead as far as I know.

It's possible someone was sitting on them and then they died and the inheritors are offering them finally. Or they held onto them to make a splash during an anniversay year while the show was on again. Or it could just be another dumb hoax. but i would love to finally get to see some new old Who. You know it was shown over bin Iraq and Iran in the days back then, what if someone over there had them and wanted to sell them for weapons? should we buy them?

I always thought when i first heard there were episodes missing, if i only had money to go hunting for them around the world to the old stations that played them back in the 60's and see if i could track some down from employees who may have taken foriegn ones home. if only. i would have gone to Africa.

If Ian Levine is to be believed (and he is a reliable source) the find is real, and cuts the number of missing episodes from 106 to 16.

Last week, Bleeding Cool ran this article, reporting rumours rampaging around the highest echelons of the BBC that a lot of missing episodes of Doctor Who

HOLEY CARP! I'm far more optimistic about this now! I trust Ian Levine a great deal.

                            If he's convinced, I'm convinced.

90 episodes, wow! Rumor has it this find will complete Troughton's Doctor.
